databricks-vectorsearch (deprecated — please install `databricks-ai-search`)

This package is deprecated. The product previously known as Databricks Vector Search has been renamed to Databricks AI Search, and the canonical Python SDK is now published as databricks-ai-search.

pip install databricks-ai-search

databricks-vectorsearch is preserved as a thin re-export shim that transparently forwards to databricks-ai-search and emits a DeprecationWarning on import. Existing imports under databricks.vector_search.* continue to work indefinitely; new code should migrate to databricks.ai_search.*:

# Before:
from databricks.vector_search.client import VectorSearchClient

# After:
from databricks.ai_search.client import AISearchClient

# Both still work — VectorSearchClient is preserved as a backward-compat
# alias of AISearchClient (same class, isinstance checks pass either way).
